Courtesy: http://www.scitechculture.com Travelling to other countries all over the world can be both an exciting and daunting experience. It is exciting to see new places and experience new cultures, but it is daunting in that you are in unfamiliar places and having access to the right information to help you navigate the new environments you are travelling through is crucial to the success of your trip. In today’s world, smartphones and tablets allow you to carry everything you need with you in a light, convenient package, and they have the capacity to dynamically update that information as well as make suggestions of things to do and see based on your current location. They can take high quality photos and videos which means you can leave your point-and-shoots and video cameras behind. And with current maps applications, assuming they work in the country you are visiting, you are not likely to get lost. This is a far cry from the travel of yesteryear which most likely required you to bring a lot of heavy, paper-based documentation that could never be updated, and if you wanted to take photos and videos, you had to take larger, bulkier cameras with you. Steve and Ben discuss the world of travel in 2014, their tips on getting the most of our mobile tech while staying secure, and how technology is having an impact on how we travel in today’s world.
